  • Bonjour

    Il y a forcément une erreur de consigne.....

    past perfect (had + p.passé) ou past simple

    le past perfect parle d'actions passées antérieures à celles énononcées au past simple

    1- Gold diggers had tried their luck in North America but never in California before. (past perfect)

    2- Most newcomers had never experienced gold prospecting before. (past perfect)

    3- They hadn't thought of staying in California but many were obliged to. (past perfect)

    4- The train had just left when they arrived at the station. (past perfect + past simple.... les deux actions ne peuvent être antérieures l'une à l'autre .... si c'est vraiment, mais vraiment ta consigne, alors le deuxième verbe serait : "when they had arrived at the station". Ce qui me paraît absurde....

    Demande alors des explications à ton/ta prof en lui disant que tu as compris que le past perfect indique une action qui s'est passée avant celle au prétérit....

    ---- past perfect------------prétérit----------------> présent

    -

    bonne soirée ☺☺☺
